Mommy, daddy and I have been playing a fun game called "geocaching"
For details you can go to www.geocaching.com.

After finding a few we decided to create a theme of our own.
This is an example of our theme which we call "Troll Bridge".

When we are done placing them all there will be a total of nine trolls hidden on various bridges throughout the area.
Our first troll hide is called "Fifth Legacy Troll Bridge".
Look it up on geocaching.com and go find and sign the log.

The Treble with Family History

For those of you who don't know, the word "treble" has many meanings, the most common of which is: something with three parts.

That got us thinking about family history. Sound like a stretch? It may well be, but think about this:

There are two main "arteries" a life: your mommy's, and your daddy's; and then you are the heart (the third part).

Okay, that still sounds like a stretch, but keep reading. I'm going somewhere with this.

There are innumerable "veins" that feed into those arteries, and each of those veins carried with them a legacy of some sort.

Not all legacies are good, and each person's legacy can be interpreted in many different ways, but this is the way daddy said he would like me to remember the legacy of my heritage.

G'pa J~: Hard Work & Honesty
Grandpa is a very good and honest mechanic. Being "very good" means that he worked hard to learn his trade, and honesty is a trait everyone can admire. He also loves to paint, and I love his painting that hangs in our home--I stare at it every day. One day I'll ask him to paint something for me. =j

G'ma D~: Ingraining Talents
Grandma is an "absolutely fabulous cook". She doesn't use recipes because she instinctively knows how to mix just the right amount of ingredients into everything she prepares. Mommy says she has only ever heard anyone say great things about G'ma's cooking.

G'pa C*: Respect
Grandpa was respected by everyone because he always showed everyone respect first. He's always preferred the peaceful side of life, never fought or argued with anyone, and there are lots of people who consider him to have been their best friend.

G'ma R*: Service
Grandma loves to serve people. Two examples that have stood out have been her love for teaching, including a couple times of going to China to teach students how to speak English, and her ability to help others develop their talents, like being a manager for a singing group or teaching sewing or speed reading lessons.

Like I said before, lots of people can take a different legacy from the lives of people.

That said, I would like to invite everyone who know my grandparents, and even my parents, to share their interpretation of their legacy.

Security Updates

Over the next few days you may start noticing some changes to security levels on each of my blogs.

Some changes you may notice are names:

Online I will be referred to as "Sweet D*" because daddy calls me "sweetie", and you all can associate my initial with my name.

My grandparents will be "G'ma R* & G'pa C*" and "G'ma D~ & G'pa J~"

Relatives on mommy's side will have their own marking (~), as will relatives on daddy's side (*). For example, daddy's oldest siblings will be known as "Auntie M*" and "Uncle C*" while mommy's oldest siblings will be known as "Aunti S~" and "Uncle R~"

Because we are a close family I may reference my cousins, too.
Auntie M*'s husband will be Auntie M*uT, and their oldest child (my cousin) will be Auntie M*cJ. Because there are two "J" names in her family, the younger sibling will be Auntie M*cj.

And then of course, there are all my aunts and uncles who aren't actually related... this could get confusing.

Mommy's friends will be indicated by a "+", and daddy's friends will be indicated by a "-". For example, mommy's longest friend and her family would be +Auntie A, +Auntie AuM, and +Auntie AcB; and daddy's friend in Arizona will be -Aunt L.

Of course mommy and daddy have lots more friends than this, but these have been their very best friends for a long time.

Mommy likes to listen to 101.9 The End while she's at work.

Today, Chunga made an ignorant comment, claiming that there are no "hot girls" in Spanish Fork, then requested proof otherwise.

I think it's just a reason to get a bunch of hot girls to send him their picture.

Mommy fell for it.

She called daddy and asked him to find some hot pictures and send one in, and this was the one they both agreed on most.

For "good measure" we also included a picture of my awesome Aunti.

My friends ~ cousins to the fairies

At first I didn't understand why daddy kept halting our walk, but after a while I realized he was trying to introduce me to our friends, the dragonflies.

It was really nice seeing how comfortable we all were, playing together at the park.

I hope they will come visit me again some day.
